Weight and format of images​

Images used on web have to be as light as possible. Before post an image you have to check is size. You can reduce the weight of images in several ways:

  • use right format (use jpg for pictures, svg for logos or icons and png only if you need transparence).
    • If the site support it, you can use the new .webp format
  • reduce the weight using Photoshop or Gimp or with online tool like Optimizilla (https://imagecompressor.com/)

  • Post image size with link: 1200 × 630 px
  • Stories size: 1080 x 1920 px
  • Page cover size: 820 x 312 px
  • Page profile photo size: 180 x 180 px
  • Post Size: 1200 x 630 px
  • Event cover size: 1920 x 1080 px
  • Event image size: 1200 x 628 px
  • Group cover size: 1640 x 922 px

Instagram​

  • Profile picture size: 320 x 320 px
  • Square photo size: 1080 x 1080 px
  • Dimensione foto landscape: 1080 x 566 px
  • Portrait photo size: 1080 x 1350 px
  • Stories image size: 1080 x 1920 px

Twitter​

  • Post image size: 1024 x 512 px
  • Cover size: 1500 x 500 px
  • Profile picture size: 400 x 400 px

  • Profile picture size: 400 x 400 px
  • Personal profile cover size: 1584 x 396 px
  • Company profile cover size: 1128 x 191 px
  • Company page logo size: 300 x 300 px
